INFECTION
Serious deep infection does not happen commonly. About 1/100 or less
patients experience this complication following a surgical procedure.
Re-hospitalization and intravenous treatment may be required to treat
an infection. People with diabetes and those who have had a previous
infection in the area are at a higher risk for developing an infection.
